If you love strawberry smoothies then this recipe is for you. This strawberry oat breakfast smoothie is super filling – why not try it to kick start your day this week. So simple to make with very few ingredients and the best thing is that kids love it too!
Now that we’re heading into March my head has leaped straight into spring – sunshine, beautiful fresh flowers and Easter bunnies. What’s not to love about the season. It’s also my birthday month, so I may be a bit biased! I digress, I’m really looking forward to that wave of freshness and upbeat positivity spring brings with it, winter always seems so long.
Perfect Strawberry Smoothie For Spring
As we move into spring, I’ve got a little something that we have really been enjoying in our house for a speedy breakfast – even my little boy loves it! Like sun rays beaming through a cloudy sky, this blushing pink smoothie will brighten up any morning. Full of fresh strawberry flavour, sweet banana and it’s super creamy from the oats and Little Yeos strawberry yogurt too.
We love Little Yeos and we’ve been buying them for Aiden for a long time and he adores them. They’re such a fridge staple that it looks weird to open the door and not to see a pack there. What I love about them is not only are they organic, but a massive draw for me is that the sugar content is naturally derived from the fruit and milk used to make them.
Getting your little ones to eat healthily can be challenging at the best of times. I’ve had some experience with fussy eating and food avoidance with Aiden, but have found as he’s got older getting him involved in the cooking process and making it fun makes him more enthusiastic in trying new things.
A satisfying oat breakfast smoothie
A nutrient-dense strawberry smoothie is something that you can get your little ones to help out with (minus operating the blender of course). They’re also a delicious way to get children to get more fibre in their diet from the fruit. What I love about this particular smoothie is how satisfying it is from the addition of the oats and yogurt that’s a source of protein, making it a perfect breakfast option.
