Yoga is the perfect way to start the day! I decided to start this mornings gym session with some yoga.  It was definitely the right choice as I fancied something calming and gentle this morning and that generally sums up my weekend.

I painted my finger and toe nails in this bright coral colour from Essie yesterday.  Bright colours on my nails always make me smile.

Other than my gym sessions and mahoosive grocery shop I haven’t stepped out of the house.  After 2 busy weekends of guests staying over it has been exactly what I needed. I’ve mainly been watching this weekends flurry of sports (go Laura Robson at Wimbledon!), eating delicious food, enjoying the sunshine in my garden, experimenting in the kitchen, watching Game of Thrones (addicted!), reading and blogging.

Monday: 30 minute walk

Tuesday: 2o minute hip opening yoga podcast

Wednesday: 20 minutes of HIITs on the cross trainer and treadmill, upper body workout, abs, 10 minutes HIITS on the bike.

Thursday: 30 minute walk

Friday: 20 minute energising yoga podcast

Saturday: 20 minutes of HIITs on the cross trainer and treadmill, lower body workout, abs, 10 minutes HIITS on the bike

Sunday: Radom workout of 10 minutes of yoga and 20 minutes of cardio on the machines.

After yesterdays gym session I made this gorgeous smoothie.  It included spinach, half a banana, half an avocado and almond milk and topped with some Raw Chocolate and Berry Trail Mix.  The avocado made it super creamy and rich.

Lunch reminded me of the packed lunches that I used to take to school.  I had a wholemeal muffin filled with cooked turkey breast pieces and salad leaves with salted plantain chips and a pink lady apple. This is far more healthier than what I used to take for school for lunch.  I remember that there was always crisps and a chocolate biscuit bar.

I’ve been craving steak all week so I bought some lovely rump steak from the supermarket yesterday.  I pan fried it and sliced it on top of a massive salad.  The salad included mixed leaves, avocado, grated carrot, grated cheese, tomatoes, coriander leaves and lime juice.  Such a simple meal but it tasted amazing. Alfie had his with potato wedges and he loved it too.

In the evening I watched Bridemaids with my favorite popcorn snack and some raw chocolate and orange raw chocolate by Conscious.  I think this is one of my favorite raw chocolates and I’ve tried a few, so yummy with a lovely melty texture!

I’ve not long eaten this amazing breakfast of a fluffy spelt pancake with Greek yoghurt, honey and blueberries.

Please let me know if you would prefer the 17th or 24th August for the London blogger meet up.  I think to be fair I will just go with the general consensus in terms of dates and try and organise it around that. It’s going to be so much fun, I love meeting up with other bloggers.

What did you used to take in your packed lunch to school?

Do you prefer to do yoga in the morning or evening?
