HAPPY TUMMY

After all the indulgent and rich food, that most of us have consumed over Christmas there is that general ‘meh’ feeling in the air – that sluggish and tired feeling even though you’ve had all the relaxation in the world over the festive period.   I like to start a new year as I mean to go on and a part of that is wanting to feel my tip-top self, totally fabulous!  Here are some of my key tips for a happier tummy that have helped me:

1. Drink lots of water

Water is great for rehydrating your body.  As part of my morning routine, I like to drink warm water before breakfast with a slice of lemon or a cup of herbal tea like chamomile.

Eating a high fibre diet that is full of fruit, vegetables, legumes and grains are a definitive way to keep things moving…if you know what I mean! Fibre keeps the digestive system in good working order and prevents you becoming constipated.

3. Keep on moving

Not only does regular exercise help to maintain your healthy happy weight that is personal to your body, but it also has a positive effect on your digestion by keeping everything moving to prevent constipation.
