Firstly, thank you for your fantastic response to my first Living An Unconditionally Nourished Life post. You guys seemed to really enjoy the unedited and real aspect of it, which was lovely to read.

Well, I said that January was the month that just keeps giving, but February seems to have zoomed by.  It’s been a steady month for me and behind the scenes I’ve been putting some exciting things in place, which hopefully will come to fruition soon.  I’ve got a really good feeling about this year and things seem to be moving in the right direction at the moment.

I grew up in Leicester and not once have I visited the National Space Centre that was practically on my doorstep.  We made a trip there a few weeks ago and it was the best day out! There was so much to see and explore and they have an amazing Planetarium, which was a favourite of mine.  I highly recommend it if you’re ever in the area.  I’ve definitely learned to make the most of the things that are right on your doorstep, you can miss so much even though it’s right under your nose.

I can’t remember if I’ve mentioned it previously, but my Nan has Alzhiemer’s Disease.  It’s so horrible watching her deteriorate and become a shell of herself.   One of the biggest things that I find challenging is visiting when none of my family are there as she can no longer communicate.  We have such a close bond, that not being able to have a conversation with her can be tough, but when other people are there it makes things feel easier.

It wouldn’t be very British if me not to mention the amazing weather we’ve been having in the UK. Going out for walks around the village in the gorgeous sunshine has been great.  Being outdoors is such a mood booster for me – a chance to grab some ‘me time’ while the baby is napping in her pushchair. I often put a podcast on and zone out for a while.

At the start of the year I said I wanted to do more public speaking to help push me out of my comfort zone. A small stepping stone to achieve this was to do my first Instagram Live, which I did last month. I was a little nervous and there were a few technical glitches with my crap internet, but I really enjoyed it. Most of all, I loved connecting with some of you and it felt good talking about something I’m passionate about.

My next Instagram Live is focusing on building emotional resilience and is happening on 6th March at 8pm GMT.

In other news, plans for the Escape & Create Retreat on 7th April are falling into place. We’re so excited for this day and it’s nice to see everything start to come together. If you’re interested there is still time to book your place.  You can get all the details and buy your ticket here.
