cherish

February how wonderful you have been!  The start of the year didn’t go off with a bang like I had hoped, but last month has made me optimistic about the year ahead and all that it has to offer.

Cherish was my word of the month in February and that’s exactly what I tried to do.  Instead of trying to rush and fit everything in I prioritised and enjoyed spending time with my family and friends.  Aiden is so interactive now and interested in everything, that spending these precious moments with him are so important, he’s growing at a ridiculous rate.  Allowing myself to take a step back and reflect on my day has made me realise that it’s the little things that make the most wonderful memories like the way my little man smiles at me when he wakes up from his nap, discovering new places to explore or watching the sun set over on the fields on one of our long family walks.

We’ve actually been on a few walks this month whilst the sun has been shining and went to this nearby gorgeous woodland  one afternoon. It’s so nice to get out and about exploring our local area more and I’m really looking forward to the weather warming up so we can do more of this.

It took us four months, but we finally made it out on a date night since Aiden was born. OK, I may have fallen asleep in the cinema, but it was nice to get out without our little dude and spend some quality time with together.

Yoga Loving Feb saw me attempt to do two yoga sessions a week and I almost did, except for the one day where I was just too tired.  I’ve loved doing this as for me it’s something that was achievable and now going to be part of my weekly exercise routine going forward.

At the beginning of last month I was excited to find out that my article on superfoods had been published in the Center Parcs Village Life magazine, so chuffed to see my name in print.  I also guest posted on the Thorntons Chocolate blog about maintaining healthier lifestyle resolutions and became a BRITA brand ambassador for their #betterwithBRITA campaign.
