All I Want For Christmas

 In collaboration with Boots.

Can you believe that Christmas is now only a few weeks away?  I’m not sure where this year has gone, but I’m very excited that the festvities are beginning.  Some of my neighbours have already started to put up their Christmas trees and outdoor decorations.  We always wait until the 1st December and I can’t wait.

I’m such a Christmas fairy and without a doubt it’s my favourite time of year.  The run up to Christmas is just the best.  Time with family, the Christmas events and markets, wrapping presents, cosying up on the sofa watching Christmas movies – it’s such a special time of year. I fully het involved and face-plant myself right in.

Since having kids, I’m all for being organised when it comes to preparing for Christmas rather than leaving it to the last minute.  It means that I can enjoy the season more without feeling stressed or worried that I’ve forgotten anything. I’ve already started my Christmas shopping which I’m really enjoying.

I was really happy when Boots asked me to one part of their All I Want For Christmas campaign that celebrates all we love about the season. Plus there is an amazing giveaway at the end of this post, so don’t miss that!

Getting started with Christmas gift buying

I knew that I wasn’t on my own when it came to starting my gift buying early, but was surprised to see from the results from a survey conducted by Boots that a quarter of the people involved started their Christmas shopping in August. I thought I was being early with starting in late October, obviously not! I would feel pretty smug though if I’d finished all my Christmas shopping by the end of the summer.

Check out how you can give yourself an alternative gift this Christmas.

Creating special Christmas moments for loved ones

I’m definitely with the 57% who said that seeing the faces of people when they open their gifts is the favourite part of Christmas. I love creating special moments for my nearest and dearest and I can’t wait to see them open what I’ve bought for them. This is especially so for my little ones, I love seeing their excitement as they tear off the wrapping paper.

Christmas gift buying struggles

Sometimes buying gifts can be a struggle, we all have that one person who you just have no idea what to buy them.  Results from the Boots survey suggest that a 1/3 of people think they are difficult to buy for – stating they have everything they need.  I think I’m pretty easy to buy for, however, Alfie can sometimes be a nightmare because he also says that he’s got everything he wants.  Sweet, but really not helpful!

Boots kindly let me choose some gifts from the Christmas Gifts For Her and Christmas Gifts For Him departments on their website.  When I was having a browse I spotted so many beautiful gift ideas. For my husband Alfie I selected a bottle of perfume, a new one that he hasn’t tried before my Dior.  He loves his fragrance and I think he will really like the spicy notes of Sauvage and it’s a great one to add to his collection.  For my lovely nieces I picked out some gorgeous beauty sets.  They’re a little older now and gone past the age of playing with toys, but think they will really appreciate this Ted Baker makeup set and Joules weekend bag with toiletries.
