I adore frozen fruits. They’re something that I always make sure that I have in my freezer and use them regularly. The best thing about them is that because the fruits are picked and frozen when they’re in season it means that you are getting the best tasting fruit all year round, whether they are in season or not.  I like to use them to tame my sweet tooth in a quick dessert with yogurt and flaked almonds, in a smoothie or a baked dessert, so great to have on hand. Plus, the supermarkets tend to stock different mixes of frozen fruit like the black forest frozen fruit mix that I’ve used in this recipe.

I’m excited to announce that I’m teaming up with yoomoo again on their brilliant yootime campaign for 2018 encouraging you all to live your best lives and be the best version of yourself, which regular readers will know I’m deeply passionate about.  Not only is yoomoo frozen yogurt a great dessert option, but you can really play around with it and use it as an ingredient in your breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  I love using frozen yogurt as a change to ice cream and yoomoo frozen yogurt is low in calories and low in fat. They have a flavour for everybody and something to suit every mood and occasion from strawberry and vanilla, plus their lollies in mixed berry, tropical and strawberry. I opted to use the vanilla flavoured frozen yogurt in this popsicle recipe because it’s sweetness works nicely with the sharp black forest fruits.

If you’d like to see some of my other recipes using yoomoo frozen yogurt you can check them out here.  My personal favourites include my Chocolate Covered Strawberry Sundae, Seasonal Pear & Beetroot Frozen Yoghurt Smoothies, and Pumpkin Chocolate Fro-yo Sandwiches.

Now I’m all about convenience and fuss-free cooking and these black forest fruit breakfast popsicles are exactly that, simply blitz up the ingredients and freeze.
